Three-boat system between Lång and Möckelsnäs

To get across the strait between Lång and Möckelsnäs, you have to row. There is a three-boat system consisting of three rowing boats.

The boats are only available during the tourist season, from April/May to October/November.

Please observe that there must always be at least one rowing boat on each side of the strait.

If you row across, you are responsible for ensuring that there is one boat on each side. This may mean that you need to row over three times with another boat in tow to ensure there are always boats available on both the south and north sides.

The distance is about 350 meters and it takes about 10 minutes to row over once. Follow the red buoys to the other shore.

There are life jackets available to borrow. Pull the boat up to shore and secure it properly.

Bear in mind that the boats should only be used by hikers who need to cross the water passage. The boats are not to be used for fishing and should not be moved elsewhere.

How to get over the strait:

1. Unlock your boat

• Open the cabin hook and release the boat from the chain. Leave the cabin hook and the chain on the shore.

2. Follow the instructions for either option 1 or 2:

Option 1: If there is only one (1) boat on your beach (A)

• Row over to the other side. Follow the red buoys.
• Unlock the new boat on the other side. (Leave the cabin hook and the chain!)
• Row back to your beach A with the new boat in tow. (There is a rope in the boat)
• Leave one (1) boat on your beach A. Lock the boat!
• Row over again (a third time).
• Lock the boat.

Option 2: There are two boats at your beach

• Row over to the other side. Follow the red buoys.
• Lock the boat.
