About Grävlingabacken
Grävlingabacken is beautifully situated in the heart of the Fegen Nature Reserve, offering stunning views over Lake Fegen. You can reach the campsite by canoe, bicycle, or on foot, where you will be greeted by peaceful forests and shimmering water.
At the shelter, there are two fireplaces where you can cook, warm yourself by the fire, or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquillity as the sun sets over the lake.
The long-distance hiking trail Gislavedsleden also passes directly by the campsite and continues north via Sandvik towards the Boberg campsite – perfect if you want to combine your overnight stay with hiking or cycling through the beautiful Småland landscape.
Facilities and Services at the Campsites
All campsites offer fireplaces, rubbish bins, firewood storage, and composting toilets. Firewood is regularly restocked at all campsites from April to October.
Good to Know
Our campsites can be reached on foot or by water. Some are also accessible by bicycle, but not by car – so please plan your visit accordingly.
Several campsites provide recycling bins for glass and cans as part of ongoing efforts to improve waste sorting. Please remember to take care of your rubbish and leave the area in the same condition you would like to find it.
Cutting down trees or branches is prohibited.
Fires are only permitted in designated fireplaces during the period from 1 May to 30 September. Open fires are prohibited in all other areas. Please note that fire bans may also apply throughout the nature reserve and in the areas around Lake Kalvsjön, Lillån, Ätran, and Stångån, depending on weather conditions and current restrictions.
If you plan to stay overnight within the reserve, you must stay at designated campsites. Camping outside these areas is not permitted.
A campsite supervisor is responsible for maintenance and ensuring the campsites remain clean and well maintained.
Don’t Forget Your Camping Permit
To use the campsites, you need to purchase a camping permit, which can easily be bought online.
Income from the camping permits is used for the maintenance and improvement of the campsites, including firewood, toilets, and barbecue areas.
Additional information is available at each campsite.
