Agnäs nature reserve is located on a headland that extends out into Lake Åsnen, southeast of Torne Bridge along the eastern part of Julöfjorden. The reserve mainly comprises deciduous forest, but also water areas and small islands in Lake Åsnen. The forest at Agnäs is a remnant of the large broadleaf forest that once enclosed the whole of Åsnen. The reserve here is managed by the Kronoberg County Administrative Board.

The reserve is located on the road between Vrankunge and Urshult, which is reached from the north from road 23. About 14 km west of Växjö you take south towards Odensjö. Signs from the reserve can be found from the road just under a kilometer after passing Vrankunge.
