Regions

The Smålandsleden trail stretches across large parts of Småland and is divided into three regions. Together, they form a continuous trail system where you can hike both shorter trips and longer distances over several days.

In the north, you will find long, continuous trails through forests and lake landscapes, with good connections to other major hiking trails. To the east, the trails stretch from the inland to the Baltic Sea coast, with coastal hiking, cultural environments, and Astrid Lindgren's hometown. In the south, the trail spreads out around Växjö and through emigrant villages and historic landscapes, with further connections to the Blekingeleden and Skåneleden trails.

The regions make it easier to find the right hike based on landscape, length, and experience. No matter where you choose to hike, the Smålandsleden trail is an invitation to discover Småland step by step.
