Description
Stage A1 of Anebyleden is 21.7 km of the Smålandsleden trail (including access trail to Holavedsleden and trail entrance Vireda). The trail starts with a connection to Holavedsleden just outside the small community Örserum between Gränna and Tranås.
In Örserum there is a shop where you can stock up (check opening hours). The hike towards Vireda consists of roads with varying surfaces, after about 9 km the trail makes a detour to Björkenäs nature reserve. Here you will find a barbecue area, dry toilet and tent site, Lake Ören is also a nice bathing lake so take the opportunity to take a dip in the clear water.
You then continue towards Aneby towards Vireda where you can take an alternative round (Viredarundan) past Vireda church dating back to the 16th century.
Otherwise, you continue on stage A2 after splitting and accessled (Anslutning Wiredaholm A1/A2) towards Wiredaholm Golf & Konferens where you will find a restaurant, overnight accommodation, parking and the opportunity to fill the water bottle.
