Östra Möckelnleden – En del av Smålandsleden

In the Linnaeus region east of Lake Möckeln in Småland, there are over 30 kilometres of hiking trails in Carl Linnaeus' homeland between Lake Möckeln and Lake Såganässjön.

You can walk the longer Östra Möckelnleden trail and nine shorter trails (1–3 km) in seven nature and cultural reserves.

The Östra Möckelnleden trail consists of

• Diöslingan, 11 km
• Insjöslingan, 14 km
• Möckelsnässlingan, 8 km

The trail connects the reserves and takes you through beautiful environments with stone walls, beach meadows, farmland and grazed cultural land.

Östra Möckelnleden has four entrances with information boards and can be walked from either direction. The trail is marked in orange and signposted with Carl Linnaeus. The nature and cultural reserve trails are marked in blue, yellow and/or red.

Note! To get around the Insjöslingan trail, you need to row across the strait.

Some sights in the Linnaeus region

• Höö nature reserve – one of Småland's most species-rich environments. Take a detour from Insjöslingan to the reserve's blue trail.
• Explore southern Möckelsnässlingan through Kronans and Möckelsnäs nature reserves, embraced by Lake Möckeln.
• The Sikareveln hiking trail stretches straight out into Möckeln with fantastic shorelines on both sides. Take a detour from the Möckelsnässlingan trail to experience this.
